Mia earned her Master of Arts in Art Therapy from George Washington University. She has experience working with people of all ages and families across a range of clinical and community settings. As a practitioner, Mia strives to create a collaborative environment where clients feel empowered to explore their experiences through creative expression. Her therapeutic approach integrates a person-centered perspective with narrative and somatic therapies. Through her Residency in Counseling under clinical supervision, Mia is working toward licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Board-Certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC) in Virginia.

Mia, originally from Missouri, earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Missouri. Her experience in papermaking, sculpting, weaving, and other artistic methods reflects her belief in the healing benefits of creativity, storytelling, and hands-on art. In her free time, she enjoys baking, messy art projects, and hanging out with her three crazy fur balls, Gigi, Simba, and Wednesday.
